About The Position
A family in the Castro Valley/Hayward area is seeking a dependable and experienced caregiver to provide weekday transportation for their toddler to and from daycare. While transportation is the primary need, the family is open to offering additional childcare hours before or after daycare to create a more consistent part-time schedule for the right candidate. The schedule includes Monday-Thursday with a 7:00 AM pickup for daycare transport and an afternoon pickup before 5:30 PM. Fridays involve morning childcare before daycare drop-off and an afternoon pickup before 5:00 PM. The family is flexible and willing to add childcare hours if a caregiver requires a minimum number of weekly hours. The family requires a smoke-free home.
Requirements
- Experience caring for toddlers
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable personal vehicle
- Dependable, punctual, and excellent communication skills
Responsibilities
- Safely transport toddler between home and daycare
- Provide attentive care during Friday morning hours before daycare
- Engage the child in age-appropriate activities
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and reliable routine
- Additional childcare responsibilities may be added if mutually desired
