About The Position

A warm, welcoming family in Rye, NY is seeking an experienced Nanny / Housekeeper to become a valued long-term member of their household. This role combines childcare, housekeeping, laundry, organization, driving, and light cooking to support the smooth operation of their busy family home. The family has three wonderful children, a 10-year-old, an 8-year-old, and a 6-year-old, all of whom attend school full-time. They are looking for an exceptional person to become the heart of their afternoons, someone who genuinely enjoys both caring for children and maintaining a beautifully organized home. While the children are at school, the position focuses primarily on housekeeping and household management. Once the school day ends, the focus shifts to school pick-ups, transportation to activities, meal preparation, homework reminders, and helping the afternoon run smoothly. This is an opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining an organized home, enjoys working independently, and naturally notices what needs to be done without constant direction. The family values the housekeeping responsibilities just as highly as the childcare responsibilities and is looking for someone who enjoys both aspects of the role equally. This position is responsible for maintaining the home's cleanliness and organization. The home is approximately 5,000 square feet across three stories, so candidates should be comfortable navigating stairs throughout the day. The family values professionalism, initiative, attention to detail, and someone who will truly learn how their home operates. They are hoping to find a long-term employee who will become an integral part of the household for years to come.
