About The Position

This Squirrel Hill family is looking for a self-starting Nanny/Household Manager who enjoys both childcare and household upkeep. The role involves approximately 15-20 hours of childcare per week, primarily in the afternoons, and 20-25 hours of flexible household management tasks. During school breaks (approximately 6-10 weeks a year), childcare hours may increase to 40-50 hours per week. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and finds satisfaction in maintaining a smooth-running household and creating fun experiences for the children.

Requirements

Previous nanny experience for a minimum of 2 years.
Driver's license.
Reliable vehicle.
Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Perform childcare duties including school and daycare pickups, engaging children in activities like visiting the library, playgrounds, or museums, and general afternoon care.
Manage household tasks such as family laundry, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, dusting, cleaning bathrooms and showers, changing sheets, wiping surfaces, kitchen and household tidying, and sweeping porches and steps.
Perform everyday household upkeep and occasional household projects.
Adapt to shifting priorities between childcare and household management based on the family's needs, with a greater emphasis on childcare during school breaks.
Communicate effectively regarding household needs and any issues that arise.
Maintain a clean and organized living environment.
Ensure children are picked up, fed, and engaged in activities.
