About The Position
We are a loving, active family of six looking for a dedicated partner to act as an extension of our family. We have four wonderful children (ages 8.5, 6, 3.5, and 1 year). We value a calm, positive, and empathetic home environment and are looking for someone who shares our gentle parenting philosophies. We practice positive reinforcement, focusing on what children can do, maintaining clear and positive boundaries, and utilizing "time-ins" to help little ones navigate their emotions. Mornings are an important, high-energy time in our house, so we need a punctual, organized professional who can ensure our kids head off to school happy and confident.
Requirements
- Calm, happy, positive, and empathetic demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills and punctuality.
- Alignment with our positive reinforcement and gentle parenting style.
- Experience caring for multiple children simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Provide full care, love, and support for all four children.
- Transport kids to school and activities.
- Plan intentional, creative activities (art, reading, music, and play) that foster physical, emotional, and social growth.
- Come into each week with a general activity plan.
- Maintain daily schedules.
- Keep us updated throughout the day.
- Keep common areas picked up.
- Manage kids' laundry and family towels.
- Empty the dishwasher.
- Restock supplies.
- Handle grocery unloads/pickups.
- Prepare daily meals/snacks for the kids.
- Assist with family dinner prep 1–2 times per week (recipes planned by parents).
- Collaborate on organizational projects, such as seasonal clothing rotations and space organization, when time allows.
