Nanny / Household Helper – Portola Valley, CA
About The Position
A busy family in Portola Valley, CA 94028 is seeking a reliable, proactive, and adaptable Nanny/Household Helper to support their three girls (ages 9, 11, and 13) and keep the household running smoothly. Both parents work full-time, with one parent working from home, making an independent and flexible candidate essential for this role. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM – 6:30 PM with guaranteed 30 hours per week, and flexibility for additional hours before 2:00 PM or after 6:30 PM. Schedule flexibility is required to accommodate school holidays, seasonal shifts, and after-school activity changes. The family requires a smoke-free home and provides a vehicle for all child transportation duties.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and comfort navigating the local area
- Comfort working in a home with pets (two French bulldogs)
- Proven experience managing school-aged children and household logistics
- Ability to work independently while a parent works remotely in the home
- Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States
Responsibilities
- Driving children safely to and from school and after-school activities
- Meal preparation for the children and family
- Family laundry
- General light tidying, organization, and keeping household management tasks up to date
- Providing proactive afternoon support and guidance for three school-aged children
