About The Position

A family in San Carlos, California, is seeking a reliable, engaging, and organized part-time nanny and family helper to support two children. The role includes assistance with morning routines, child-related care, and household tasks, with the possibility of adding afternoon care over time. The home is smoke-free and has one Husky that requires walking. The family values creative engagement, cooking, and interactive support with the children. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM, for 20 hours per week. Schedule times can flex, and optional evening hours from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM may be available. Compensation is $30–$45 per hour, with a gas stipend or reimbursement provided for driving. Candidates must undergo a background check and provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Caregivers are hired directly by the family and are not employed by Wellthy.

Requirements

Proven childcare experience.
Valid driver's license.
Reliable personal vehicle.
Willingness to drive children and run errands.
Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States.
Successful completion of a background check.

Responsibilities

Plan meals, prepare food, and handle child feedings.
Assist with school transportation and drive children to and from activities.
Engage children in arts and crafts and other creative activities.
Handle diaper changing and provide potty-training support.
Perform light housekeeping, including kitchen cleanup, vacuuming, trash disposal, and laundry.
Run errands as needed.
Walk the household dog.
Assist with morning routines and child-related support.
