About The Position

A busy family on Long Island, near Port Washington, is seeking a fantastic nanny/family assistant for their three children, ages 9, 6, and 3. The general schedule is 11am-7pm, with flexibility depending on the children's activities and home projects. The family also has an au pair, so this is a team environment and they are looking for someone very capable and proactive, who can manage the children's schedules, activities, and belongings.

Requirements

Driver's license and clean record (a car is provided for work use)
US work authorization
Desire for a long-term role
Local to Long Island and familiar driving in the area

Able to work with multiple children of different developmental stages

Responsibilities

Accompanying children from school to various after-school activities and playdates
Proactively planning developmentally appropriate outings and activities related to the children's interests
Grocery shopping, running errands, and handling child-related inventory
Planning and preparing basic meals for the family (simple healthy recipes)
Keeping children's areas organized and tidy, including sorting through clothing seasonally, organizing toys, etc.
Laundry (children's laundry required, some family laundry would be a bonus)
Managing the school calendar, researching and booking activities, and scheduling appointments
Planning parties and shopping for gifts
