About The Position

A warm, thoughtful family in Bellevue is seeking a part-time nanny/family assistant to support their daily routine and care for their active and curious one-year-old. Both parents work, with one parent working from home. The role requires open communication, reliability, and a collaborative approach. This position offers a balance of hands-on childcare and light household support, with a long-term fit and a consistent, trusting relationship being a priority. Comfort around dogs is appreciated as the family has a friendly Cavapoo. The ideal candidate is an experienced, hands-on nanny who enjoys caring for young toddlers and keeping up with an active child. They should be engaging, talkative, and adept at helping children reach milestones through play, reading, and meaningful interactions. Attentiveness, a strong focus on safety, and comfort monitoring a busy toddler are essential. Reliability, punctuality, communication, and self-starter skills are also important, especially when working alongside a parent who is home. A preference is given to candidates living relatively close in Bellevue for a short commute and who are comfortable with a consistent weekday schedule with some flexibility.

Requirements

Multiple years of proven experience caring for ages toddlers +.
Physically able to lift and keep up with an active child.
Strong focus on child safety and supervision.
Reliable transportation to the family’s home.
Strong communication skills and punctuality.
Comfortable working in a home with a dog.
Vaccinations preferred (Flu and Tdap).
Glowing references from recent nanny positions.

Responsibilities

Light household support including family laundry, loading/unloading dishwasher, light vacuuming, and keeping eating areas clean (2:30 PM - 4:00 PM).
Primary childcare, engaging toddler in age-appropriate play, supervising activities, and supporting development (4:00 PM - 5:30 PM).
Flexible support depending on family needs, alternating between childcare and household tasks, including dinner support for the child (5:30 PM - 6:30 PM).
Diaper changes.
Maintaining a clean and organized play/eating space.
Fostering a safe, engaging environment.
