About The Position

Provides polishing of fingernails and toenails, painting designs and applying gel and acrylic nails. Maintains knowledge of nail, facial and body treatments offered on Spa menu, including special offers and packages. Performs nail, facial, and body services according to established spa procedures. Maintains proper safety and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and tools. Verifies inventory and replenishes spa supplies and products as needed. Paints fingernails and toenails. Cleans cut and shape nails. Recommends colors, rhinestones, and designs based on each customer’s style. Removes previously applied polish. Prepares and cleans beauty station in between appointments. Sterilizes equipment before use. Informs clients about additional services and offers. Gives hand and foot massages. Offers nail care treatment tips. Up-sells treatments and beauty products, when appropriate. Provides exceptional service to spa and resort guests. Assists, as needed, with scheduling guests and merchandising and selling spa products. Maintains professional grooming and appearance. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times.
Must be able to maintain a professional, positive demeanor in stressful situations, remaining polite to the guests at all times.
The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.
The ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations.
Proven experience providing high level of guest service.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents.
Ability to write effective reports and memos.
Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations.
Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests.
The availability to work all shifts.
The ability to work in a fast–paced environment and stressful situations.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
The ability to verify the right to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Certification in Nail Art is a plus.
