About The Position

Reporting to the SVP of Customer Success, the NA Sourcing Leader is a hands-on, results driven leader responsible for optimizing total landed cost across North American operations while ensuring uninterrupted supply to manufacturing. This role has direct accountability for cost, service, risk, and execution—owning sourcing decisions from supplier strategy through plant level outcomes. This leader drives value through end-to-end cost optimization, including material, inventory, service levels, risk, and working capital. Success requires tight cross-functional partnership with Operations, Finance, Engineering, Planning, Product Management, and Logistics to ensure sourcing strategies are aligned to how the business runs. This position operates as a working leader, deeply engaged in strategy, supplier negotiations, and issue resolution, while building disciplined processes and holding teams accountable for measurable outcomes. Success in this role requires the ability to drive change at scale, balance cost, risk, and service, and consistently deliver value in a fast-paced, operationally complex manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Strong commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to optimize total landed cost, not just price.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional decision making, influence without authority, and align stakeholders with competing priorities.
  • Deep experience partnering with manufacturing and operations leaders in a multi‑plant environment.
  • Demonstrated success delivering hard‑dollar savings while protecting supply continuity and service levels.
  • Experience applying advanced analytics, AI, or automation in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain environments (e.g., spend visibility, index comparison, supplier risk monitoring, pricing or cost modeling).
  • Strong understanding of supply chain cost drivers including logistics, inventory, lead times, service levels, and risk.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and hold teams accountable through clear expectations and performance feedback.
  • Deep working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, and SQDCI methodologies.
  • High business acumen, strong judgment, and uncompromising ethics and integrity.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience sourcing in emerging markets preferred; contract development, interpretation, and negotiation experience strongly desired.
  • Other related certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Build, lead, and challenge an established sourcing organization by setting clear expectations, holding teams accountable, building vendor partnerships and delivering results.
  • Lead sourcing decisions holistically—balancing purchase price, freight, inventory, service levels, manufacturability, risk, capital investment, and working capital.
  • Ensure uninterrupted supply of materials and services by proactively identifying and mitigating supply, logistics, and geopolitical risks.
  • Drive measurable, sustainable cost reduction through lever such as category strategy, supplier negotiation and partnerships, VAVE, supply chain, specification and supplier standardization, and make‑vs‑buy decisions.
  • Act as a hands‑on operator, actively engaging in supplier negotiations, escalation management, and rapid problem resolution to protect production continuity.
  • Own sourcing budgets, forecasts, and KPIs, with clear visibility into savings delivery versus commitment, total cost impact, and operational performance.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Finance, and Plant Leadership to align sourcing decisions with our manufacturing operating model.
  • Establish and enforce leading sourcing processes, governance, and tools to drive economies of scale, eliminate waste, and improve speed and discipline of execution, including accurate forecasting and should- cost modeling.
