About The Position
Oaklawn is seeking a talented individual to become a Mutuel Teller. This role is responsible for selling and cashing pari-mutuel tickets while maintaining a friendly and professional image. Requirements
- Previous cash handling experience.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
- Must be reliable to work as scheduled.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an Arkansas Racing License.
- Must successfully complete C.T.R.
Nice To Haves
- Good understanding of horse race betting desired.
- Prior mutuel teller experience is preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Selling and cashing pari-mutuel tickets.
- Cashing tickets and paying out money after verification of win utilizing the Cash Count Back Procedure.
- Entering customer transactions into the computer to record transactions and issuing computer-generated receipts.
- Ordering daily supply of cash and counting incoming cash.
- Balancing currency, coin, and checks in the cash drawer at the end of the shift and comparing totaled amounts with data displayed on the computer screen.
- Providing vouchers, results, and summaries as requested.
- Maintaining a working knowledge of Probe procedures and troubleshooting.
- Regular punctual attendance.
- Ability to work required overtime.
- Other duties as assigned.
