About The Position
Responsible for operations coordination and supervision of Mutuels department in accordance with the operational policies and procedures of the company and the NYS Gaming Commission.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Two to three years supervisory/management experience required.
- Knowledge of horse racing, mutuels department and simulcast contract preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent guest service to both internal and external guests.
- Actively supports the company culture of creating a fun and entertaining experience for internal and external guests.
- Possess the ability to create operating and capital budgets along with the ability to adhere to those budgets.
- Maintains appropriate staffing levels in the department, by interviewing, selecting, training, evaluating, promoting, disciplining and terminating Associates, as needed.
- Responsible for creating, executing, and budgeting for seasonal promotions.
- Coordinate’s investigations into the resolution of variances to ensure compliance with company policies and Associate integrity levels.
- Responsible for the daily operations of simulcast and mutuels.
- Responsible for the schedules of the mutuel tellers.
- Responsible for communication with United Tote as well as other vendors.
- Point of contact for all union disputes.
- All other duties as assigned.
