About The Position

The Musical Choreographer position at Sun Prairie West High School is part of the Athletics/Activities department. The primary goal is to achieve and maintain high standards of excellence in club activities, ensuring participants gain valuable experiences through individual and group involvement. This role involves recruiting members, encouraging participation, planning and supervising all club activities and meetings, managing records and budgets, overseeing fundraising, and ensuring necessary equipment and supplies are maintained. The choreographer is also responsible for representing the district professionally, establishing student behavior standards for a safe learning environment, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

Background or interest in the particular club activity.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of students, parents or employees of the district.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Exhibit qualities of leadership and organizational ability and reflect a spirit of cooperation in working with staff and school administration.
Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory in specific field.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the community.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in verbal and written form.
Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and School Board policies.
Ability to use technology to accomplish job responsibilities that may include basic knowledge of e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to direct others and deal with people.
Ability to perform a variety of duties.
Good depth perception.
Occasionally being able to see objects/persons at a distance.
Ability to hear conversation in quiet as well as a noisy environment and be able to tell where a sound is coming from.
