About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking educators who are skilled musicians and committed to empowering learners. The Music Teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment, teaches private music lessons to students of varied ages and skill levels, and helps students develop lasting relationships with music. The company handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching and inspiring students. Teachers communicate with students and parents about goals and progress, coordinate with store teams on lesson scheduling and retention, and share their musical expertise to foster student growth. The listed pay is $12.77 per hour for non-teaching work and $11–$30 per hour for teaching, depending on background and experience; actual compensation may vary by experience, education, location, and other factors.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
At least 2 years of music teaching experience.

Nice To Haves

Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
8 or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments, including banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.

Responsibilities
