About The Position
Music & Arts is seeking a skilled musician and dedicated educator to teach private music lessons and inspire students. The Music Teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels. The role includes building positive relationships with students and parents through regular communication, goal-setting, and progress updates; coordinating with store teams on lesson scheduling and student retention; and sharing musical expertise to encourage student growth. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. Music & Arts is part of the Guitar Center enterprise and operates retail stores, educational representative services, and affiliate locations. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
- Two years of music teaching experience.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
- Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
- Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments, including banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
