About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting each student’s growth, development, and enjoyment of playing music. The role contributes to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, with a focus on providing an excellent customer experience. You will partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students based on community needs, teach the curriculum, and assist with customer service as needed. You will also communicate frequently with students and their families, build trusting relationships, and share student progress and goals.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area they will teach.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, build trusting relationships, and recognize parents’ knowledge of their child as their Music Teacher.
Share students’ goals and progress with students and/or parents frequently.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
