About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking skilled musicians and dedicated educators to teach private music lessons and inspire students. The Music Teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels. The role includes building positive relationships with students and parents through regular communication, goal-setting, and progress updates, and partnering with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching and helping students grow.

The listed pay is $17.00 per hour for non-teaching work, plus $12–$24 per hour for teaching, depending on background and experience. Musicians employed by Music & Arts may use gig leave to take time off to perform and return to their job afterward. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of music teaching experience.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree (Master’s or doctoral) in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments, including banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
