About The Position
The Music Teacher teaches music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. The teacher works to grow student enrollment and help students continue to develop and enjoy playing music, while supporting a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role partners with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students based on community needs, and may assist with customer service to create a positive experience and build long-term student relationships. The teacher also communicates regularly with students and families about progress and goals, partnering with parents and recognizing their knowledge of their child.
Requirements
- Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
- Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
- Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area the candidate will teach.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
- Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
- Assist with customer service as needed to create a positive experience and build and maintain long-term student relationships.
- Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships and discuss student progress and goals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
