About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking a Music Teacher to teach private music lessons and inspire students of varying ages and skill levels. The teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment, builds positive relationships with students and parents through communication, goal-setting, and progress updates, and works with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching and helping students grow as musicians.

The role is part of Music & Arts, a music retailer and education provider within the Guitar Center enterprise. The company operates more than 225 retail stores, 200 educational representatives, and 250 affiliate locations. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of music teaching experience.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• 8 or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments: banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
