About The Position

Guitar Center is seeking a Music Teacher to teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. The teacher helps students continue to grow, develop, and enjoy playing music while supporting a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role also focuses on increasing and retaining student enrollment and providing an excellent customer experience. The Music Teacher partners with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students based on community needs, assists with customer service as needed, and builds lasting relationships with students and their families through frequent communication about progress and goals.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and their families, building trusting relationships and recognizing parents’ knowledge of their child.
Communicate students’ progress and goals with students and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
