About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking a skilled musician and dedicated educator to teach private music lessons and inspire students. The Music Teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels. The role includes communicating with students and parents about goals and progress, coordinating with store teams on lesson scheduling and student retention, and sharing musical expertise to foster student growth. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The position offers a non-teaching hourly rate of $17.13 and a teaching hourly rate of $10–$20.50, depending on background and experience. Eligible musician employees may take gig leave to perform and return to their jobs after a tour. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of music teaching experience.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments.
• Experience teaching banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, or voice.
