About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking a Music Teacher to teach and inspire students through private music lessons. The teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels, and helps them develop their musical abilities. The role includes building positive relationships with students and parents through regular communication, goal-setting, and progress updates, as well as partnering with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching.

The role offers a non-teaching rate of $14.81 per hour and a teaching rate of $10.50–$21 per hour, depending on background and experience. Eligible musician employees may use gig leave to take time off to perform or tour and return to their job afterward. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of music teaching experience.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• At least 8 years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments, including banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
