About The Position

The Music Teacher teaches music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. The role works to increase and retain student enrollment while helping students grow, develop, and enjoy playing music. The teacher contributes to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, and provides an excellent customer experience.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the applicant is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the subject area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships and recognize parents’ knowledge of their child.
Communicate each student’s progress and share student or parent goals and progress frequently.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
