Onsite

About The Position

The purpose of this role is to assist the Priesthood and Family Department in its purpose to help God’s children joyfully live the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Church Music office, located in the Priesthood and Family Department at Church headquarters in Salt Lake City, oversees the music needs for Church members (including sacred hymn and song collections, the Church music website and mobile application, and training resources for music callings) and for Church headquarters (including music for general conferences and the processing of new music submissions). Current music office priorities involve a revision of the hymnbook and children’s songbook along with related efforts, including the development of music training resources for members and leaders. The purpose of this full-time music project coordinator position is to assist music managers at the Church Office Building 40 hours per week in the development and implementation of these resources. This is a temporary timebound role and it is anticipated that this position will end with the completion of the hymnbook redesign project (currently expected to conclude by 2030). Church employees find joy and satisfaction in using their unique talents and abilities to further the Lord’s work. From the IT professional who develops an app that sends the gospel message worldwide, to the facilities manager who maintains our buildings— giving Church members places to worship, teach, learn, and receive sacred ordinances—our employees seek innovative ways to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the world. They are literally working in His kingdom.
