About The Position

This position is available only to enrolled American University students who have a Federal Work Study (FWS) award. The Music Program Assistant will support the Music Program Director and Faculty with various administrative tasks. This includes assisting with recruitment by answering general inquiries about the Music Program via email, greeting and providing tours of music facilities to prospective students, and attending Preview Days. The role also involves inventorying practice rooms and music studios, reporting any needs or issues such as equipment and piano maintenance, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Current AU student with a Federal Work Study (FWS) award.

Responsibilities

• Answer emails concerning general questions about the Music Program.
• Greet and touring music facilities with prospective students.
• Attend Preview Days.
• Inventory practice rooms and music studios and report needs and issues, such as equipment and piano maintenance.
• Other duties assigned.
