About The Position

This is a full-time position (minimum of 32 hours per week) responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Music and Electronics Departments. The role involves establishing and maintaining efficient merchandise circulation through process refinement, assigning and distributing work, scheduling and deploying staff, managing employee performance, and training, developing, and leading department staff. The position also requires assuming assigned shifts as Manager-On-Duty and setting the tone for the Bookmans Way.

Requirements

Ability to lead, inspire, and delegate.
Knowledge in the areas of video games, music and video.
Strong communication skills.
Organized and able to handle multiple tasks of varying priorities.
Able to adapt to a flexible working schedule.
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to handle complaints and upset customers.
The ability to train and retrain coworkers.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of the Music and Electronics Departments.
Establish and maintain efficient and effective circulation of merchandise through the implementation and constant refinement of the processing system.
Assign and distribute work.
Schedule and deploy staff.
Manage employee performance.
Train, develop, and lead department staff.
Evaluate and offer on department related product effectively.
Direct product pricing, stocking and presentation on the floor.
Monitor department product inventory and communicate needs or over-supply to buyers as well as management.
Assume assigned shifts as Manager-On-Duty.
Train and retrain coworkers.
Set the tone for the Bookmans Way.
