The purpose of this position at the Clinton Presidential Center (CPC) is to provide a presidential experience and outstanding customer service to all visitors. The individual who serves in this role will largely function as a brand ambassador while performing the functional roles of the position and of the various work assignments. As a Clinton Presidential Center brand ambassador, the appointee will represent and promote the Clinton Library to our many guests. Highly effective brand ambassadors will demonstrate expertise in many areas including customer engagement and the deployment of communication skills that will reinforce the guest experience. The appointee needs to actively listen, internalize what the guests communicate, and then take appropriate solution-based action based on what they hear from the customer. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and volunteers in a spirit of unity, teamwork, and cooperation. Must be able to work effectively with a diverse group of people. Ability to multi-task and work as a team or to work independently. Ability to learn cash register and point-of-sale operations. Accuracy and attention to detail is a must. Must be able to perform basic math skills. Must demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with museum guests in a knowledgeable and positive way. Ability to listen effectively, to make objective judgments, and to problem solve. Give quality service to customers by making them feel welcome audibly and with a smile. Have knowledge of the museum’s permanent and temporary exhibits. Must be available to work on Monday – Friday and on weekends; plus, holidays on which the museum is open.
