About The Position

This position involves teaching individual applied study in an alternative (non-classical) curriculum for contemporary students in Flute (Contemporary/Commercial). For MU396C-496C, students receive 8 half-hour lessons per term (16 lessons per year). For MUPS127/227D, the role includes 600 minutes of individual tuition and group instruction on a major instrument for two semesters.

Requirements

• Masters of Music in Performance or professional experience equivalent to the level of a MM in Performance, with recognition by the music industry or professional peers.
• Advanced Diploma, Graduate Diploma, or other advanced credential.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in one on one studio instruction.
• 5 years performance experience in Contemporary Commercial Music.
• Demonstrated experience in coaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual applied study in an alternative (non-classical) curriculum for contemporary students.
• Deliver 8 half-hour lessons per term (16 lessons per year) for MU396C-496C.
• Provide 600 minutes of individual tuition and group instruction on a major instrument for two semesters for MUPS127/227D.
• Schedule lessons in consultation with students.
• Potentially engage in group instruction.

Benefits
