The CIMA+ team in Regina is looking for a Municipal Survey Technologist. This role will on diverse projects related in the municipal, water and wastewater markets primarily in the Saskatchewan region.

Requirements

  • Civil Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent education at a minimum
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in the municipal and/or water and wastewater industries
  • Consideration will be given to the applicant's demonstrated level of municipal, water and wastewater experience, and/or experience utilizing Trimble equipment
  • Active member or eligible to be a member with SASTT
  • Proficient knowledge of modern survey techniques, Microsoft Office Products, Bluebeam Revu
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Integrity, team spirit, and a commitment to excellence

Responsibilities

  • Perform preliminary topographic site surveys, construction surveys, construction layouts, record surveys, and data processing using Trimble survey equipment (such as RTK GPS, total station, and level)
  • Process and analyze survey data
  • Prepare and coordinate survey files with design models and drawings completed in AutoCAD Civil3D.
  • Perform volumetric calculations and quantity takeoffs in Civil3D.
  • Maintain accurate survey records and field notes.
  • Perform Construction Inspections to ensure compliance with project drawings & specifications.
  • Interaction with senior technologists and engineers within a mentoring environment
