About The Position

Join the City as a Municipal Services Worker and start a career with purpose on the Facilities Management Team! Duties for this position include: Perform a range of facilities operation and maintenance tasks including preventative maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting and adjustments on HVAC, lighting/electrical and plumbing systems, and equipment. Respond to service calls and manage service call tracking information Manage facilities related projects Maintain grounds and adjust and repair irrigation systems Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction among building tenants This position is covered in the Teamster bargaining unit and incumbents must live within a 30 minute drive of their regularly assigned work site. The proposed work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day and the proposed work schedule is 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Requirements

  • A High School diploma or equivalent with 1 year of related specialized or technical training preferred, and 1 year of related experience are required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed in the job description.
  • Valid Oregon Driver's License - Class C
  • Forklift Certificate within 12 months of appointment
  • Incumbents must be in possession of or have the ability to obtain any certification or license required by City, State or Federal agencies to work in assigned position.
  • Incumbents must live within a 30 minute drive of their regularly assigned work site.
