About The Position

We are seeking motivated candidates for the position of Motor Vehicle Municipal Coordinator in the Registration, Municipal, and Agent Services . As a Motor Vehicle Coordinator, you will work in training and monitoring the performance of municipal agents in the registration of motor vehicles. Work includes training town representatives to act as agents of the Secretary of State, conducting workshops and refresher training programs, writing procedure manuals, and conducting on site - reviews and taking appropriate corrective action. Work is performed under limited supervision.

  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • In addition, the successful candidate must pass a National Criminal Background check, including fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct, guide, and advise municipal officials on laws, rules, regulations, and procedures relating to motor vehicle registrations to ensure agent performance meets established standards.
  • Conducts workshops and refresher training programs statewide to train agents and maintain proficiency in registration procedures.
  • Performs on-site visits to verify correct procedures, provide guidance, and assist with complex or unusual registration problems.
  • Responds to inquiries from municipal officials and the public regarding registration and excise tax procedures.
  • Prepares and distributes memos, newsletters, and updated guidelines to inform agents of changes in laws, rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Speaks at workshops, seminars, and conventions to provide information and enhance public service.
  • Conducts on-site reviews to evaluate agent performance, take corrective action, and recommend decertification when necessary.
  • Evaluates procedures, identifies program challenges, and recommends new or revised processes to improve program efficiency and operations.
  • Prepares forms and reports to keep administrators informed of program activities and effectiveness.
