About The Position

The Multispecialty Sonographer performs basic to advanced ultrasound services, which may include abdominal, Ob/Gyn, cardiac, vascular, musculoskeletal, and small-parts examinations. The sonographer reviews the patient’s clinical history to identify the purpose of the examination, frames the clinical questions the examination should answer, and expands the examination as needed.

This is a full-time night position at Baylor Scott & White Round Rock Medical Center, scheduled Monday through Thursday from 8:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., plus shift differential.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of related multispecialty experience.
• Must hold two qualifying credentials in separate specialties from the listed ARDMS, ARRT, or related specialty credentials.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to advanced ultrasound examinations, potentially including abdominal, Ob/Gyn, cardiac, vascular, musculoskeletal, and small-parts studies.
• Examine the patient’s clinical history to identify the purpose of the examination.
• Frame the clinical questions the examination is intended to answer.
• Expand the examination as needed.
