About The Position

The Multi Modality Radiology Technologist performs technical work operating complex X-ray equipment to take radiographs of designated portions of the body using special procedures. The work assists physicians in detecting foreign bodies and diagnosing diseases and injuries. The technologist operates CAT Scan equipment and is assigned to one of the specialty areas. The role may include partial supervision of X-ray technicians and non-professional and clerical support staff for quality control and technical assistance. Travel to other locations is required.

Requirements

• Two years of experience in a hospital X-ray department or private radiological laboratory performing all types of diagnostic work, including operation of special procedures equipment such as CAT Scan, angiographic, or neurographic equipment.
• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology Certification Program or an Associate’s Degree.
• Possess a valid license and current registration issued by the New York State Department of Health as a Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiography.
• Be certified and maintain current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography.
• Travel to other locations is required.

Responsibilities
