About The Position

Bestica is seeking a Multimedia Project Instructional System Designer to provide services for the UNITED STATES SCHOOL OF AEROSPACE MEDICINE (USAFSAM) ACADEMIC DEVELOPMENT BRANCH (EDED) at Wright Patterson AFB in Ohio. The 711th Human Performance Wing (711 HPW), headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, is the first human-centric warfare wing to consolidate human performance research, education, and consultation under a single organization. Established under the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), the 711 HPW is comprised of the Airman Systems Directorate (RH), the USAFSAM, and the Human Systems Integration Directorate (HP). The Wing delivers unparalleled capability to the Air Force through a combination of world class infrastructure and expertise of its diverse workforce of military, civilian and contractor personnel encompassing 75 occupational specialties including science and engineering, occupational health and safety, medical professions, technicians, educators, and business operations and support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Educational Design, or five years applied experience in ISD techniques and related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in two of the four areas: Learning theory, Psychology of Learning, Educational Psychology; Instructional design practices; Educational assessment; Instructional product creation.
  • Proficient in current technologies used to develop cutting edge educational materials.
  • Expertise in technologies such as Adobe Captivate, packaging and delivering SCORM packages, gaming, 3D modeling, virtual reality and simulation.
  • Extensive experience in organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding filing, organizational, communication, and typing skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Cloud based suite of productivity apps, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Zoom, and Adobe Acrobat programs.
  • Ability to critically think, problem solve, and effectively communicate through both writing and speech.
  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable Air Force and professional standards.
  • Knowledge of military and civilian guidelines that govern policy and procedure.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in educational technology, Instructional Design, Educational Design, or related discipline.
  • Experience with military protocols and administrative actions like decorations, evaluations, and reports.
