About The Position
WWAY, the ABC, CBS, and CW affiliate serving the Cape Fear region, is looking for a full-time Multimedia Journalist to join our dynamic newsroom. This role is ideal for someone passionate about news and storytelling who wants to live, work, and play at the beach on the beautiful coast of southeastern North Carolina. The WWAY News team is an award-winning group.
Requirements
- Strong storytelling and writing skills
- Solid news judgment and ability to stay ahead of developing stories
- A team player with a professional, positive attitude
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required
- A demo reel showing reporter standups and packages is required for consideration.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with ENPS and Edius is a plus
Responsibilities
- Enterprise original story ideas and follow breaking news
- Shoot, write, and edit compelling news packages
- Present stories on-air and online
- Contribute actively to our digital and social media platforms
- Participate in community events and station initiatives
- Operate live shots via our TVU system
