Multicraft Maintenance Technician – PLC & Automation
About The Position
Why this opportunity stands out Pay: $38–$48/hour Schedule: 1st or 3rd shift, 2-2-3 rotation (12-hour shifts: 6am–6pm or 6pm–6am) Benefits: 401(k), Healthcare, Vision, Dental, PTO, Life Assurance Location: Frederick, MD (established food production environment) Your impact Keep critical food production assets online by servicing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Use Allen Bradley PLC troubleshooting to quickly isolate faults and minimize downtime. Read and apply blueprints/schematics to plan maintenance and execute accurate repairs. Diagnose and replace AC/DC motors and VFDs to restore performance. Repair ovens, mixers, and conveyors—core equipment on the process line. Handle light welding and fabrication when needed.
Requirements
- 3+ years in manufacturing maintenance; food production/processing preferred
- Depth in hydraulics, mechanics, and industrial electrical systems
- Comfort with machine configuration, teardown/rebuild, and preventive maintenance
- PLC troubleshooting familiarity (Allen Bradley experience strongly preferred)
- Food and Beverage Manufacturing 120/208/240/480 Voltage Systems Maintenance and Repair Skills
