About The Position

The Maintenance Multicraft Technician I is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure plant operations run smoothly. This includes preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and installations across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. The role also involves accurate record-keeping, troubleshooting, and maintaining a clean work environment. Candidates must be willing to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime, and be proficient with computer systems for maintenance processes.

Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Troubleshooting expertise
  • Electrical Knowledge
  • At least two years of successful mechanical and electrical/electronic troubleshooting and repair experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • On-the-job success in safety, attendance and quality of work expected.
  • Strong knowledgeable of lubrication, hydraulics, welding, pneumatics, electrical and electronics technologies.
  • Excellent teamwork, cooperation and problem solving skills.
  • Willingness to fully cross train in other technical areas to enhance capabilities.
  • Willing and able to work any shift, call-ins, holidays, and overtime as there is a constant demand for overtime in our maintenance department.
  • Able to work with computer system for maintenance processes, stores and work orders.
  • Counting and stacking finished product

Nice To Haves

  • A high school degree (Preferred)
  • Manufacturing experience in the corrugated industry.
  • Maintenance experience in corrugated a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Following all safety rules and practices
  • Performing preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components; and observing operations, vibrations, and noise levels.
  • Performing emergency / break down maintenance as necessary to support plant operations.
  • Accurately using measurement and test equipment.
  • Performing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs and installations as needed.
  • Maintaining clean and organized work areas, and cleaning up work areas as part of completing assigned tasks.
  • Accurately and completely prepare and maintain maintenance records and other paperwork.
  • Trouble-shooting and solving problems.
  • Excellent teamwork, cooperation and problem solving skills.
  • Willingness to fully cross train in other technical areas to enhance capabilities.
  • Candidates must be willing to work alternative shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
  • Able to work with computer system for maintenance processes, stores and work orders.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by supervision.
