The primary responsibility of a multi-modality technologist performs any 2 combination of procedures with related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by, and at the request of, a licensed independent practitioner. This role requires hands-on experience performing both CT and Diagnostic X-Ray. The technologist will operate equipment, accessories, and be knowledgeable in workflows, procedures, and processes of the 2 imaging modalities. They will select appropriate imaging/sequences, obtain patient's clinical history and lab work, apply safety principles, and provide radiation protection. The role also involves verifying patient identification, performing venipuncture when required, administering medications/contrast, and using a power injector. On-call scheduling may be required.
