About The Position

The Multi-modality Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures in at least two different modalities within the Radiology - Diagnostic department. This is a part-time position.

Requirements

  • Current BLS certification with American Heart Association.
  • A minimum of any two or more of the following modalities: Radiography Technologist, Computed Tomography Technologist, Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist, Mammography Technologist, Angiography (Interventional) Technologist, Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Cardiac Catheterization Lab Technologist, Ultrasound Technologist.
  • Current Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist Radiography (Full/General) license (required for several modalities).
  • Current ARRT registered certification in Radiography with RT(R) designation (required for several modalities).
  • Current ARRT registered certification in Computed Tomography with RT(CT) designation (if performing CT).
  • Current ARRT registered certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging with RT(MR) designation (if performing MRI).
  • Current ARRT registered certification in Mammography with RT(M) designation (if performing Mammography).
  • Current ARRT registered certification in Nuclear Medicine with RT(N) designation and/or Current NMTCB registered certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology with CNMT designation (if performing Nuclear Medicine).
  • Current ARDMS registered certification in Abdomen with RDMS(AB) and/or Obstetrics and Gynecology with RDMS(OB/GYN) and/or ARRT registered certification in Sonography with RT(S) designation (if performing Ultrasound).
  • For recent radiologic technology graduates: ARRT registered certification eligibility in Radiography with RT(R); must obtain registered certification within 12 months of hire and prior to the expiration of a temporary Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist Radiography (Full/General) license.

  • Preferred additional registered current ARRT registered certification in Radiography with RT(R) designation (for MRI Technologist).
  • Preferred additional current Massachusetts DPH Radiologist Technologist Radiography (Full/General) license (for MRI Technologist).
  • Preferred additional current ARRT registered certification in Vascular-Interventional radiography with RT(VI) designation and/or preferred additional current Cardiac-Interventional radiography with RT(CI) designation and/or preferred additional current Cardio-Vascular interventional radiography with RT(CV) designation (for Angiography Technologist).
  • For technologists performing nuchal translucency sonography: Current NTQR or equivalent Nuchal Translucency registered certification within 18 months of hire.
  • For technologists performing vascular sonography: Current ARDMS registered certification in Vascular Technology with RVT designation and/or additional current CCI registered certification as a Registered Vascular Specialist with RVS designation and/or additional current ARRT registered certification in Vascular Sonography with RT(VS) designation.
  • For technologists performing breast sonography: Current ARRT registered certification in Breast Sonography with RT(BS) designation and/or additional current ARDMS registered certification in Breast with RDMS(BR) designation.
  • Preferred additional current ARDMS registered certification in Musculoskeletal with RMSKS designation.
  • Preferred additional current ARDMS registered certification in Pediatric Sonography with RDMS(PS) designation.
  • Preferred additional current ARDMS registered certification in Fetal Echocardiography with RDMS(FE) designation.
  • Preferred additional current ARDMS registered certification in Neurosonology with RDMS(NE) designation.
  • Registered certification is only required if needed to satisfy site modality accreditation requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures in at least two modalities.
  • Maintain current BLS certification with American Heart Association.
  • Obtain current ACLS certification with American Heart Association within 6 months of hire if applicable to the modality.
  • Obtain required certifications for specific modalities as needed (e.g., NTQR, vascular sonography, breast sonography certifications).
