About The Position

The Instructor teaches music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. The role focuses on growing student enrollment and helping each student continue to develop, improve, and enjoy playing music while supporting a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. Instructors communicate student progress to students or parents, as applicable, and assist with customer service issues to help create a positive experience and retain long-term students. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

At least 3 years of work experience in music, education, or a related field, or a bachelor's degree.
Ability to pass Guitar Center-specific training and certifications.
Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the instrument area to be taught: drums, guitar, bass, or keyboard.

Responsibilities

Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Communicate each student's progress to the student or their parent, where applicable.
Assist with customer service issues as needed and help maintain long-term students by creating a positive experience.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
