About The Position
Responsible for estimating type 3 and type 5 construction wood frame multi-story buildings. The role prepares accurate estimates, reviews project plans, and supports the bidding process for multi-family and commercial projects. Estimators should be detail-oriented and patient, with experience estimating manually and/or using approved software such as Planswift or similar.
Requirements
- Experience in construction estimating.
- Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Planswift or similar, and Microsoft Office.
- Good communication and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented and patient.
Nice To Haves
- Experience estimating multi-family or commercial projects.
Responsibilities
- Review plans, specifications, and project scope.
- Create accurate material lists from approved plans.
- Collect and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids.
- Assist with bid submissions and proposals.
- Identify risks and cost-saving opportunities.
- Coordinate with project managers and internal teams.
- Maintain estimate records and ensure deadlines are met.
