This position requires skill progression and testing. Interfaces daily with Maintenance Manager to plan and implement work priorities. Attends and participates in daily pre-shift safety meetings. Performs as the key maintenance resource to the production shift assigned, providing accurate and timely responses to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Safely performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled duties related to the maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting and repairing of all facility production equipment, support equipment and structures. Uses the company CMMS to schedule, track and log the details of all work issued from the work order system. Utilizes the JDE system / scanner to properly sign parts out of the parts room. Utilizes the correct PPE as required for the job at hand, and properly uses Lockout / Tagout and other safety systems as required by the company. Completes all assigned work in a timely and professional manner, with accuracy and to established standards. Works directly with vendors and contractors as needed to resolve maintenance related issues within the facility or on the equipment. Trains other technicians as needed in tasks where they have high levels of expertise. Orders parts and materials as needed to support PM’s, projects, etc. Completes all required paperwork, filing and purging as needed to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
