About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of plant and manufacturing equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship while performing various maintenance tasks. Your duties will include diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions, as well as performing preventive maintenance and equipment installations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in industrial maintenance, with proficiency in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to perform root cause analysis.
  • Proficiency in using electrical and mechanical tools and instruments.
  • Experience with CNC machine controls and precision machining is highly desirable.
  • Ability to interpret complex diagrams, schematics, and part drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of plant safety policies and procedures and ensure all work is performed according to these standards
  • Uphold high standards of quality and workmanship in all maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency
  • Understand and adhere to plant environmental policies and procedures as they relate to daily duties
  • Drive every issue to its root cause failure or malfunction, utilizing a combination of electrical and mechanical knowledge
  • Proficiently use electrical multi-meters, meggers, amprobes, and other instruments to diagnose and address equipment issues effectively
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions of CNC, PLC machine controls, motor controls, drive controls, and other industrial control systems
  • Perform installation and startup of new manufacturing or support equipment, including foundation preparation, equipment assembly, and startup procedures
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections on plant and manufacturing equipment according to documented procedures
  • Assist in developing preventive maintenance schedules and procedures using OEM manuals
  • Conduct bench repair and rebuild of electrical and mechanical equipment components
  • Design, layout, fit, and install conduit, cable trays, and other industrial wiring systems
  • Repair and maintain forklifts and other mobile equipment, including routine maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Plan material requirements and fabricate tools, components, or assemblies using common materials and methods, including welding and machining
  • Perform mid-level operation of machine tools such as lathes, mills, and surface grinders, achieving precise measurements to .0005"
  • Demonstrate initiative in identifying and implementing improvements in materials, methods, and processes to enhance profitability and efficiency
  • Proactively contribute to root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts to prevent recurring issues
