About The Position

Provides clinical services to patients, including immunizations and medication therapy management (MTM) interventions, in compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies and procedures. The role supports a positive patient experience and promotes awareness of Walgreens healthcare services, including patient consultation, medication management, drug therapy reviews, immunizations, diagnostic testing, and patient outcomes services. The pharmacist also ensures compliance with the Good Faith Dispensing policy and applicable state and federal controlled substance laws, and maintains the knowledge, licensing, credentials, certifications, and training required to provide clinical services.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Pharmacist degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willingness to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Engage patients by greeting them, offering assistance with products and services, and responding to questions.
• Resolve patient issues in a timely manner and support a positive patient experience.
• Model patient-service practices, including courtesy, empathy, inclusivity, curiosity, and proactively identifying and addressing patient needs.
• Promote awareness of Walgreens healthcare services, including consultations, medication management, drug therapy reviews, immunizations, diagnostic testing, and patient outcomes services.
• Provide clinical services such as immunizations and MTM interventions in compliance with applicable regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Apply all elements of the Good Faith Dispensing policy when filling prescriptions, in conjunction with state and federal controlled substance laws.
• Maintain current knowledge and required licensing, credentials, and certifications for providing clinical services.
• Keep current with pharmacy and healthcare developments by reading relevant journals, company publications, and communications; pursue best practices to enhance performance.
• Complete required certifications, continuing education credits, training, and company learning modules.
