About The Position

The MS Therapist (Unlicensed) at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing therapeutic services to clients under the supervision of a licensed therapist. The role involves supporting clients in managing mental health issues, developing treatment plans, and facilitating therapeutic interventions to promote mental wellness and recovery.

Requirements

Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Experience in providing therapeutic services in a clinical setting, preferably related to mental health.
Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions.
Experience working with diverse populations and understanding of multicultural issues in therapy.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in therapy.
Proficiency in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being able to work independently.
Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in mental health therapy.
Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest research and techniques in the field.

Responsibilities

Conduct initial assessments and gather relevant information to understand clients' mental health needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and supervising licensed therapists.
Provide therapeutic interventions, including individual, group, and family therapy sessions, to address clients' mental health concerns.
Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community resources to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
Participate in regular supervision and training sessions to enhance clinical skills and ensure adherence to best practices.
Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of client information at all times.
Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with advancements in the field of mental health therapy.
