MS Power Platform Architect

About The Position

This role involves leading the architecture and design of enterprise PowerApps (Canvas & Model-driven apps) and Power Automate Flows. The architect will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying custom applications using Power Apps, and creating and maintaining workflows through Power Automate to streamline business processes. Integration of AI capabilities using Copilot Studio and AI Builder is also a key aspect of the role. The position requires integrating Power Platform applications with other Microsoft and third-party applications, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives. Responsibilities include conducting code reviews, solution assessments, developing interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, gathering requirements, and assisting with customer workshops. The role also involves troubleshooting, providing guidance and mentorship to junior developers, collaborating with support teams, promoting a collaborative culture, fostering innovation, and developing engineering documentation. The architect will work independently, provide team guidance, participate in Agile Scrum sprints, stay updated on emerging technologies, and advise on data privacy, ethics, and compliance risks.

Requirements

  • BS degree and 12 – 15 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with 10 - 13 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or higher security clearance.
  • Proficiency in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Copilot Studio, AI Builder, and Dataverse.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Familiarity with Azure services, such as Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure DevOps, and their integration with Power Platform.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, C#, and SQL is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and OAuth is also preferred.
  • All candidates supporting the CMS programs must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years prior in order to be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and design of enterprise PowerApps (Canvas & Model-driven apps) and Power Automate Flows.

  • Create and maintain workflows through Power Automate to streamline business processes.
  • Utilize Copilot Studio and AI Builder to integrate AI within developed solutions.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power Platform applications.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
  • Collaborate with other support teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Promote a collaborative culture and foster innovation.
  • Develop engineering documentation on current and proposed solutions, including Visio diagrams and run books.
  • Work independently and provide team guidance when necessary.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum sprints and other Agile ceremonies as required.
  • Keep up with emerging technologies and evaluate their impact and benefit to the customer.
  • Provide guidance on risks related to data privacy, ethics, and compliance.
