About The Position
The MRP Planner is responsible for establishing production schedules based on a forecast of major equipment or groups of select items. Schedules are reflected into the MRP module as input, and inventory replenishment orders are approved as output. Other functions include maintaining major equipment records, publishing shop-related reports, and monitoring activity of critical inventory items.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), as well as Internet software and E-mail.
- Experience with Lotus or equal type spreadsheets.
- Associate's degree in business or completed course in Production and Inventory Control, or equivalent college or technical school; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two to three years of shop experience required.
- One to two years of PC planner experience required.
- One to two years of scheduling experience required.
Responsibilities
- Input and review MRP runs.
- Review daily shortages and take action.
- Prepare reports on critical items.
