About The Position

The MRP Buyer at Jensen Infrastructure is a key position to the success of the inventory team and overall operations. This role involves working with a dynamic and fast-paced team, responsible for source selection and procurement functions directly associated with Jensen's needs for materials, services, freight, and other items. Reporting to the Materials Manager, the MRP Buyer will primarily collaborate with the inventory team, sales team, dispatch, and operations team. A highlight of the day-to-day responsibilities includes utilizing ERP/MRP tools to identify and execute replenishment orders for purchased raw materials, managing incoming and outgoing distribution orders between Jensen sites, and establishing and maintaining data accuracy on all purchased parts, suppliers, and purchase orders. This role also functions as the primary interface between external suppliers, internal suppliers, production, sales, and accounts for all purchasing, payables, and raw material inventory related activities. Additionally, the MRP Buyer will develop and maintain cooperative, positive relationships with suppliers to optimize pricing, availability, and delivery, and assist with maintaining inventory levels of consumable supplies.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of experience in procurement and inventory.
  • Experience working with ERP systems.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Expert at multi-tasking.
  • Does not take shortcuts.
  • Safety conscious.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizing ERP/MRP tools to identify and execute replenishment orders for purchased raw materials.
  • Managing both incoming and outgoing distribution orders between other Jensen sites.
  • Establishing and maintaining accuracy of data on all purchased parts, suppliers, and purchase orders, including specifications, costing, delivery dates, lead times, and lot quantities.
  • Functioning as the primary interface between external suppliers, internal suppliers, production, sales, and account for all purchasing, payables, and raw material inventory related activities.
  • Developing and maintaining cooperative, positive relationships with suppliers to optimize pricing, availability, and delivery of required products.
  • Assisting with maintaining inventory levels of consumable supplies and other items as identified, counts, re-stocks and organizes safety stock of these items as needed.
