About The Position

This role is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing supplies and materials essential for the repair and maintenance of industrial manufacturing equipment. The coordinator will maintain an organized storeroom, implement 5S systems and process improvements, and manage computerized purchasing/inventory records. Key duties include inputting and researching inventory data, communicating with vendors, monitoring stock levels, assisting mechanics with parts identification, and operating a forklift for material movement. The position also involves issuing, receiving, inspecting, cleaning, and performing minor repairs on power tools and other equipment.

Requirements

  • Experience in receiving, storing, and issuing supplies and materials for industrial equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Ability to maintain an organized storeroom and implement 5S systems.
  • Proficiency in maintaining and updating computerized purchasing/inventory records.
  • Experience with inventory research, requisitions, disbursements, and inventory adjustments.
  • Skills in vendor communication, stock monitoring, and preparing purchase requisitions.
  • Ability to monitor stock levels and perform physical inventory and cycle counting.
  • Experience assisting others with parts identification using catalogs.
  • Ability to pick up, deliver, load, and unload items.
  • Forklift operation experience.
  • Experience issuing, receiving, inspecting, cleaning, and performing minor repairs on tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, store and issue supplies and materials primarily for the repair and maintenance of industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Maintain the store room in an organized manor Implement and maintain 5s systems and process improvements
  • Maintain and update computerized purchasing/inventory records.
  • Input and research inventory and direct requisitions, disbursements, inventory adjustments and the history of parts use
  • Communicate closely with vendors, monitor movement of stock and supplies, solicit forecasted supplies and requirements from users, prepare and submit purchase requisitions and develop plans and rearrange stock to accommodate inventory movement.
  • Monitor stock levels and complete physical inventory and cycle counting.
  • Assist mechanics and other team members with catalogs to determine parts required.
  • Pick up, deliver, load and unload items as required.
  • Operate fork-lift to move large items such as equipment and motors.
  • Issue, receive, inspect, clean, and make minor repairs on power tools and other equipment and advise users on cleaning and minor repairs of used stock, supplies, and equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned
