Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 1 to 2 years of previous work experience in warehouse, inventory management, or maintenance support role.
  • Valid driver's license required (active and in good standing).
  • Certified Forklift Operator required (or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire).
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to spend much of the day on feet in warehouse and storage environments.
  • Ability to drive company vehicles to pick up materials and supplies from vendors.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with building trades, construction materials, and maintenance operations preferred.
  • Basic understanding of HVAC/plumbing parts and materials preferred.
  • Basic understanding of electrical components and supplies preferred.
  • General knowledge of construction building materials a plus.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or work order management systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral.
  • Strong computer skills, specifically in database entry and inventory management software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and material lists.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve material and supply issues.
  • Customer service orientation when working with maintenance technicians.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Physical capability to handle and move materials throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently to support maintenance operations.
  • Work in various environmental conditions including warehouse, indoor, and occasional outdoor settings.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory, procurement, and distribution of maintenance materials, parts, and supplies to support commercial maintenance technicians and facility operations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between maintenance teams and vendors, ensuring proper stock levels and timely availability of materials necessary for building maintenance and repair work.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of construction building materials, HVAC/plumbing parts, electrical components, paint, and general maintenance supplies.
  • Manage Keep Stock program to ensure adequate stock levels of critical items.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Organize and maintain storage areas for efficient retrieval and space utilization.
  • Stock and maintain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) inventory for maintenance staff.
  • Process and place orders for materials, parts, and supplies through vendors.
  • Pick up orders from vendor locations using company vehicles.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
  • Track and resolve discrepancies in orders and deliveries.
  • Process work orders and purchasing requests through Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Coordinate material requirements with maintenance technicians based on work order needs.
  • Update work order status and material usage in CMMS.
  • Generate reports on inventory usage and purchasing activities.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages to appropriate individuals.
  • Process outgoing shipments (FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS).
  • Resolve issues with incorrect mail or deliveries.
  • Operate forklift and electronic pallet jack safely to move materials and supplies.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles.
  • Transport materials to job sites within the facility as needed.
  • Provide assistance to maintenance technicians by staging materials for scheduled work.
  • Communicate material availability and lead times to maintenance staff.
  • Ensure facility storage rooms are adequately stocked and maintained.
  • Perform any and all other duties and tasks assigned.
